Food was good, waitress was good.... but busy, loud and cold.... I think it will be more pleasant when it gets nice out and you can dine outside...

We enjoy the servers at the Riverside. Food is pretty good to.

Lighting was deminished, food was ok, service was pretty bad and chances are, we will not visit this Riverside Restaurant again.

Food was great. My filet was done perfectly, the steamed vegetables were kind of meh, but the pretzel appetizer was pretty great. I do wish they had a larger outdoor eating area so that more people could sit outside.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service

Really great dinner specials everyday, and fabulous craft cocktails. I had the garlic parmesan sirloin and a tasty concoction that I can't recall the name of unfortunately 😅 it was Tito's with berry puree and it was so refreshing. We sat on the patio and enjoyed amazing service.

The killer tenderloin is giagantic! Also had Nacho soup. I wanted to take a bucket full home with me!! Seated immediately and attention directed to the specials of the day on the wall. Good service, awesome food.

The ambiance by the river is so peaceful making the exceptional food taste ALL the more delicious.

I had the pork chop, baked potato and steamed vegetables. It was excellent. Sat outside and enjoyed the view and drinks and it was very relaxing. Service was good and I would certainly return. Thanks for a nice evening.

Had the all you can eat wings with steak fries, as usual, and they were delicious. We did have a bit of a wait at times for re-orders, but well worth it for the quality of the food. The staff is always friendly & helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Beautiful views all year round from the dining room and great atmosphere.

They make strong drinks and their pork tenderloin was cooked perfectly.

We are new to Monticello one month.. we have been to Riverside 3 times now and it was very good all 3 times..Food, Service , Prices all good . Just might become our place of choice .

Parking lot was full but the service was still amazing. Seated almost immediately, food came out as ordered and timely. Delicious food, but the Pork Chops- divine! Relaxing evening meal by the river, view was spectacular even from our indoor seating. A MUST VISIT WHEN IN MONTICELLO!!!

Great place with amazing atmosphere, and views too beautiful to miss if you sit in the restaurant side. During the warmer months they have a great outside eating area also. Recommend the killer tenderloin, burgers, soups are always spectacular, and any of their apps.

Great local resteraunt with a awesome view of the river. The staff has always been friendly and service has always been quick no matter how busy. The specials menu is always changing so be sure to check that out each time you're in. Also, the butterfly smelt is the best appetizer on the menu, be sure to order it!

The food is good. The place is quiet and relaxing. The restaurant is very friendly. This is a place I’ll recommend my friends to visit and of course we will come back.

They were very busy but our server was prompt and pleasant..Our food was hot when served and delish!! My son had a beautiful lobster and steamed vegetables and I had the seafood salad ( not hot lol) .

My family had the killer tenderloin and it was huge! Each of them enjoyed their tenderloin and had leftovers. I had an appetizer of beef tips and it was great too. My grandmother asked to sit somewhere warm and the young girl at the hostess station sat us right by the heater, worked out great! My family definitely enjoyed their fried mushrooms appetizer. Our waitress Destiny was quick and didn’t even hesitate when I had allergy questions. Really appreciate the great service. A great experience thanks!

This place has a nice view if you're sitting in the right spot. That's about it. Steak was thin but pricey. Service was fake friendly. Menu is limited. Taps are limited. Thumbs down.

We love it we live in Chesterton we have a camper and we come down on the weekends when we can,we always make a trip to the riverside because the staff there are great they are so friendly and all the people that come there just as friendly and make you feel welcome. Food is great I haven't had anythig bad there.

Outstanding service from our waitress, Josie. Food was phenomenal as always. Smoked pork chop was juicy and tender. Cajun chicken was excellent. Good burgers and appetizers, too.

Major downfall from years ago.Riverside has lost it along the way. This year, have gone twice - 90 minutes to get our food each time, even better when you're one of 7 tables in the restaurant. Even more fun when your server thinks after they take your order, you can just sit there and wait until dinner comes. Nope, I sure didn't need a drink refill or anything.If you order a steak cooked rare, medium rare, or medium. Good luck. It will just sit in the window while everyone else's food cooks so you get a nice well done entree. Then you get your server telling you that your entirely gray-colored steak is the rare you ordered. No point in going anymore on the weekends when their french onion soup used to be the bomb. It's now a watered down, grotesque mess. Riverside needs to get back to the charm and zest it had a few years ago. Stop trying to come up with 100 daily specials - focus your kitchen on your main menu, even the items which you misspelled, and work on that.

The atmosphere in this place is absolutely amazing! The view of the waterfront from the back side is absolutely breathtaking, and I would highly recommend this to any tourists passing through, looking to take in some of Monticello, Indiana's local natural beauty, and friendly locals, in a beautiful & quiet setting.

Good drinks for great prices. The Bacardi mixed drinks I ordered were $4 each. Very scenic location with a great patio right on the river.
